Supported Databases

Allinta CMS works with 3 different databases, which one you choose depends on your budget, level of technical expertise and your hosting environment.

	Database	Allinta CMS Use
	Microsoft SQL Server 2000	Industry standard for high volume, high availability web sites.  SQL Server 2005 is currently being tested for compatibility.
	Microsoft Access 2003	Suitable for smaller sites, however in practice because most CMS based sites are predominantly read access you can easily support 10-15 concurrent users (or more).  Most CMS sites run this database.  A copy of Microsoft Access is NOT required, all database administration is done through your web browser.
	MySQL	Suitable for high volume, high availability sites and/or where preferred over SQL Server.
